It seems like only yesterday Simon was reporting on the Kogan Agora Pro, and all of its Australian-Android-ish goodness. The device, which has been rumored to be the second ever Android-based handset has been spotted in the wild… And I have to admit, I’m a bit underwhelmed, even though I shouldn’t be.

I’m not really sure what I was expecting exactly, but now that I see the device in-hand, I’m not as impressed as I once was. Perhaps it’s just me and my bias against the T-Mobile G1 that is keeping me from giving an all out thumbs up on this one. Who knows. I will say, however, that the device is a step in the right direction in comparison to the G1. I know my pals over at HTC will not be happy to hear me say that… Oh well.

I’m sure the Kogan Agora Pro will be one amongst many other Android handsets to join the Android-powered frey in 2009. Stay tuned for more news on the Kogan Agora Pro from CES.
