Tight Budget? Pay For Your T-Mobile G1 in Four Easy Payments
By James Falconer on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 at 12:15 AM PST In Android, T-Mobile
Want to pick up a T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) G1, but your money situation just ain’t right? It’s a problem more and more people are facing these days with the downturn in the economy. Gotta have that latest gadget, but unfortunately the ol’ sticker price on the device is just out of comfortable reach.
Thankfully, it seems that T-Mobile is listening to consumers and are trying to ease the burden of up-front hardware costs. According to the good folks at MobileCrunch, T-Mo will allow customers to spread out the cost of new hardware across the first 4 months of their contract. What a great idea. I think (and hope) more carriers will adopt a similar policy.
The split payments will be available for ‘qualified customers’, meaning as long as your credit is OK, you can pay in installments. This new policy is open to new T-Mo customers and those already locked in to a current contract.
Two thumbs up to T-Mobile on this policy. Now… which carrier will be next?
