We already knew that the Android OS’s upcoming RC33 update won’t come packing “Cupcake” goodies like an on-screen keyboard. What we didn’t know was that the RC33 update will actually include other cool features – Google Latitude being the highest-profile among them. While we won’t be seeing a virtual keyboard on our T-Mobile G1 anytime in the near-term, Google Latitude should keep us busy until the “Cupcake” development team releases their keyboard-wielding update.

For those of you still unsure about making the jump to the new Android RC33 update, the addition of Google Latitude to Android’s feature set should give you enough motivation to at least consider accepting the over-the-air update. Look for RC33 updates to be pushed to your T-Mobile G1 over the next few days.
