Wow, this was quick. It was two weeks ago, on January 27th, when we first learned Nokia wants to acquire Berlin-based bit-side and now it’s a done deal. Obviously sentences like “subject to customary closing conditions” doesn’t mean much or there is no that much hassle involved when acquiring smaller companies.
Anyway, all of bit-side’s 39 employees are now working for Nokia and along with the Finnish giant’s staff, they are set to “strengthen and accelerate” the further development of Nokia Maps. In that sense, we wish them good luck. After all, we all want to see better mobile navigation/location-based software on our handsets, right?

Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do.

The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application.
