According to a recent interview, Verizon Wireless CEO Ivan Seidenberg hinted that since CDMA carriers got passed on for the original iPhone, they might have a shot at a future Apple phone once LTE networks are rolled out across the board. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but a distinctly awesome possibility. Aside from that, Seidenberg said that it’s unlikely that they’ll be buying out Vodafone’s 45% stake any time soon, as much as Verizon might like to. A few more minor acquisitions after the Alltel grab could happen, but overall, Verizon is plenty happy to stay within American borders. Are you sure? Maybe you guys could come on up to Canada, maybe give us a fourth option; right now all we have is “screwed”, “boned” and “bamboozled”.
