Nokia’s Third NFC Handset Announced: 6216 Classic

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has announced their first SIM-based near-field communication phone, the 6216 Classic.  As you might already know, NFC allows your phone to communicate with just a tap on a designated sensor, letting you make money transactions amd get information displayed on your handset. Although it’s a very niche technology right now, research shows that NFC has a very bright future, and it’s easy to see why: this opens up a wealth of functionality to the end-user while keep the experience about as simple as it could be. Expect the 6216 Classic to land in the third quarter, and running about €150 before taxes and subsidies.
