Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Beta Labs has released a client of their Nokia Image Exchange application for Series 40-powered feature phones. The so called Nokia Image Exchange Lite is not designed to work as a gallery app. Rather it’s a simple tool for uploading in and sharing your photos with your buddies, as well as receiving images shared from other users. Logins to various social networks and photo sharing communities are stored in the software itself (and you can even create account from the mobile client) meaning that once it’s set, the application is seamless as humanly possible. In that sense, Nokia Image Exchange Lite doesn’t have to be an image sharing tool – you could look at it as a backup software for your photos.

Of course, it is advisable that you’re on some unlimited data plan or to perform your image sharing activities while in a hotspot, if your feature phone happens to have a WiFi connectivity option…

And now it’s time for a short demo video, where we see Nokia’s Davin Wong gives introducing Nokia Image Exchange. He’s talking about the more powerful S60 version, but you’ll get the point nonetheless. Enjoy!
