Best Buy declares low iPhone 3G supplies

Apple still won’t fess up to any new iPhone hardware announcements, but all signs point to a next-generation iPhone coming down Apple’s product pipeline. As if iPhone distributor Brightpoint’s announcement that the iPhone 3G is EOL in Australia wasn’t enough, Best Buy is reported to have issued a memo notifying employees that the iPhone 3G is now in “constraint.” Best Buy’s dwindling supply of iPhone 3GS has apparently run low enough for the big-box retailer to warn that some stores may run out of iPhone 3G units in the coming weeks.

AT&T has also started shipping refurbished iPhone 3Gs due to limited supplies of factory-fresh iPhone 3GS. And, with Apple itself offering free shipping on iPhone 3Gs, it’s clear that a new iPhone is imminent. We even have a good idea of what to expect with the new iPhone.

All eyes are on Apple to announce the new iPhone flagship next week!
