Sprint unveiled a new mobile broadband plan, offering businesses 500 MB of data for $39.99, with additional megabyte of usage being available for just 5 cents. All mobile broadband devices apply for the new plan — both data cards/USB modems as well as the Sprint Mobile Hotspot aka Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200.
And business users (Corporate Liable accounts) are just the beginning. The carrier also plans to introduce this new offering to additional channels such as indirect, business partners and retail during the summer.
Commenting on the new plan, Sprint’s Tim Donahue said: “Sprint saw a clear need for a plan that meets the needs of Corporate Liable business users whose data usage is moderate, while providing superior value. No matter how much data they typically use, business users need to know they’ll have all the mobile broadband bytes they need at a reasonable price. The Sprint $39.99 Connection Plan fulfills that need for lower volume users.”
