Dum Dum Pops Flick-A-Pop

Spangler Candy is out with an iPhone app called Dum Dum Pops Flick-A-Pop, allowing users to virtually consume as many flavors of Dum Dum Pops as they can in the allotted time period by flicking the screen of their beloved device. The application features sixteen Dum Dum Pop flavors, and is a great example of how a company can utilize the popularity of Apple’s handset to its advantage. We’ve seen other major brands such as Audi, VW, Zippo and Nike doing similar things with their iPhone apps.

And since the idea here is to market Dum Dum Pops, the application is free and you can grab it from here. (iTunes link)

For the record, Spangler Candy is in business since 1906 and its line of confections includes Dum Dum Pops, Saf-T-Pops, Circus Peanuts and Marshmallow Treats, Spangler Candy Canes, and Valentine, Easter, Halloween & Christmas candies.
