Lucky Pre owners. First we learn that NFL Mobile Live is now coming pre-installed on the, um, Pre… And now I’ve read that baseball is coming to the Pre as well, in the form of MLB Mobile Premium! The premium service comes to us via the web… Kind of an odd choice, but this web app works, and for any die-hard baseball fan it delivers the content that is needed. In fact, here’s what you get when you sign up:

  • MLB.com Mobile Gameday Audio – Listen to live audio broadcasts of every Major League Baseball game through the final out of the 2009 World Series. Each game will offer the choice of listening to the home or away broadcasts without any blackout restrictions.
  • MLB.com Gameday – Follow every pitch of every game with a detailed graphic presentation and live statistics.
  • In-Game Video Highlights – Get real-time, high quality video highlights delivered directly to the smartphone quickly after the play happens on the field.
  • Expanded scoreboard – View live statistical data from every MLB game, including linescores, current runners on base and other game details.

MLB Mobile Premium will run you $14.99 per season, or $2.99 monthly. Pre owners can nab the new app via http://wap.mlb.com. Seems a bit pricy, especially when you consider the MLB.com ‘At Bat’ app for iPhone is a flat $9.99 (iTunes link).
