We love it when a leak comes together. Following on HTC’s leaked roadmap that showed a the WVGA touchscreen smartphone hitting market in the second half of 2009, we have new information that points to Verizon Wireless picking up the HTC Whitestone as the Verizon HTC XV6975. Tweakers.net has been able to confirm the Whitestone’s status through a newly discovered user agent profile.

The Whitestone features a 5-megapixel camera, no keyboard, a WVGA touchscreen pushing 800 x 480 pixels and support for CDMA and GSM networks (global roaming). The launch date is expected to hit sometime in September, which hopefully means the HTX XV6975 will rock Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional out of the box.
