vodafone_logo1Vodafone UK customers are going to be getting free Facebook access for a week on their mobile (or PC via mobile broadband), starting on Friday 24th July.

Interestingly, this free period is going to form part of Vodafone’s Free Friday series – combining, as far as I am concerned, the great singular concepts of Free, and Friday! Yay!

Vodafone has already done Free Fridays for both Mobile Internet access, and also for Free Music Friday, but just for a day – however this is the first time the free period is going to last a week.

A nice combo on Vodafone’s part is also that they are going to start free Facebook text alerts (incoming texts will be free, outgoing texts will cost, jfyi!) – these can be configured at www.facebook.com/mobile.

If you want to know more you can go here, or alternatively text Friends to 97886 – after which you’ll get a link back that takes you to Facebook.
