Cellular South is joining the Android craze. The carrier announced that they will offer an Android smartphone later this year. No details were given at this stage, except COO’s (Kevin Hankins) words who said they are “excited to provide our customers with the diversity of new and exciting applications fueled by the open nature of the Android open source platform.”
Moreover, from the same press release we learn that additional details — including the introduction date, pricing, manufacturer, model and other product features — will be available soon. Maybe they’ll go with the Samsung i7500 rather than some HTC model? I’m just speculating, but it would be nice to see some diversity in the Android space in the States…
