We’re still having a tough time dealing with the sad reality that a GSM HTC Hero will likely never hit The States with US 3G compatibility. But, there’s yet! Rumors of a Sprint-bound HTC Hero have been making their rounds as of late, and Engadget has just uncovered a screenshot that pretty much confirms HTC’s plans to release an HTC Hero for Sprint’s CDMA network.

The screenshot you see above confirms that HTC’s website site is expecting to support the Sprint HTC Hero in the future. Of course, anything can happen between now and the smartphone’s launch, but with a little luck, the US will get to play with the Hero’s Teflon-coated body.

The only question is, how long will Sprint’s HTC Hero exclusivity agreement last? And, will it include WiMAX support?
