Rumour has it that Canadian service provider Rogers will be releasing an 8 GB iPhone 3GS. This could provide a nice option for people who want the horsepower of the 3GS, but not necessarily the $199 pricetag. Of course, this leaves us wondering what will happen to the existing 8 GB iPhone 3G; will it be completely replaced by the 3GS at the $99 price point, or will the 3G get offered for free? Both? That cut off headline reads “Rogers 8GB iPhone 3G transitioning to 3GS”, so it certainly suggests the 8 GB iPhone 3G will quickly become a thing of the past. It’s hard to say at this point, but no doubt we’ll end up seeing the same model on AT&T in good time.
