Specs for the upcoming HTC Leo had slipped out last month, but now we’ve finally got a face to match them with. As reported, the Leo has a monoblock form factor (not clamshell), but based on the text on the rear of the device, it’s still very much in the design phase, so who knows what can change before production proper. Still, another picture recently made the rounds from another source, giving the design some credibility. Let’s take a look at the impressive rumoured specs:

  • Size: 121 mm(L) x 67mm(W) x 11mm(T)
  • Networks: WCDMA/HSPA: 900/2100 MHz; GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
  • Speed: UL: 2 Mbps; DL: 7.2 Mbps
  • OS: Windows Mobile 6.5
  • Display: 4.3″ WVGA capacitive touchscreen
  • Camera: 5 megapixel with autofocus, high power 2x LED flash
  • Internal Memory: 512 MB flash, 320 MB RAM
  • Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8250, 1Ghz
  • Battery: 1230 mAh
  • Also: microSD, WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, GPS/aGPS, g-sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, 3.5mm audio jack

Even with the capacitive touchscreen, it’s looking like a fine device. You’ll have to be a bit of media hog to really warrant stuffing a 4.3″ screen in your pocket, but it’s a sacrifice I’m sure folks will be willing to make for a 5 megpixel camera and 1 Ghz processor.
