Nokia and InterDigital have been fighting it our for a few years now, regarding four patents relating to UMTS (aka 3G) technology. A Houston Judge yesterday ruled in Nokia’s favor saying he has determined no patent infringement took place. Of course InterDigital is upset with the decision, and are making a petition for another round of review. At the end of the day, patents make your toys a little bit more expensive.
