Car Jack Streets

Car Jack Streets, Grand Theft Auto “kind of game” for the iPhone and other mobile phones which we covered in the past, is about to get a sequel. And from what we’ve heard, it will come in 3D, which is cool and certainly a step forward from the original title.

TAG Games’ founder Paul Farley also said that unlike the current version, the sequel is unlikely to include the real-time aspects of the original. “[We] are really moving away from all of the tired clichés of this genre and going in an all new direction context wise,” he said, adding that Car Jack Streets 2 will feature a branching storyline and some “seriously interesting characters.”

Moreover, the upcoming game may also feature some connected and social aspects for online and multiplayer content…

And now the bad news. PocketGamer thinks that because TAG is currently focused on Astro Ranch and the PSP port of Car Jack Streets, Car Jack Streets 2 is unlikely to appear until 2010. :(
