iTwinge hard-keyboard makes your iPhone ugly

itwinge-iphone-keyboardThe iPhone’s on-screen keyboard is either crazy convenient or arduously awkward. iPhone owners that have mastered tap-typing at 40 words per minute probably have little to no complaints over having to type on a glass touchscreen. Those with less nimble fingers have likely adjusted to life with a virtual keyboard, but still curse the iPhone’s lack of a physical keyboard under their breath. For all you iPhone owners in the latter group, iTwinge might be your answer. The iTwinge is a hard-keyboard sleeve for your iPhone that isn’t just useful, it’s ugly to boot!

To be fair, we can see how the added benefit of having physical keyboard keys outweighs the downsides of having to give up half the iPhone’s touchscreen and piggy-backing a hunk of plastic onto the iPhone dock connector. The iTwinge goes for $30 and will be available starting November 19, 2009 – just in time to ride the holiday shopping wave.

We’d rather use an external Bluetooth keyboard with our iPhone. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait (or, keep waiting) until Apple endows the iPhone with the right Bluetooth stack to make that happen.

iTwinge $29.99
