dropbox-iphone-1There are a lot of file-sharing and file-storage services out there offering complementary iPhone apps to help you keep tabs on your cloud-stored media. But, none of them are as good as Dropbox. The popular online storage service has just launched a new iPhone app that not only keeps you connected to your media, but also lets you stream your music and videos to the iPhone!

Dropbox (iTunes link), for those of you not yet in-the-know, is one of the more popular cloud-based file storage and sharing services on the web. The service offers anyone and everyone a free 2GB Dropbox account that can be used to backup, share and even synchronize important (and not so important) files, regardless of platform or location. And, with the new Dropbox iPhone app, users can upload photos and videos as well as manage their media directly from the iPhone.

The Dropbox app features automatic sync for specific folders. The app won’t synchronize with your entire Dropbox account because of obvious storage space issues, but you can setup “favorite” folders that will automatically sync changes to your iPhone.

The download is free (as is the Dropbox account), so you might as well give it a shot. Dropbox’s ability to stream media straight to your iPhone is reason enough for us!
