Preview: Nokia N900 discussed using more words than an unabridged English dictionary

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t make it through Michal Jerz’s 4 page preview of the Nokia N900. It’s long. Very long. So long that you’ll probably only read it in its entirety if you’re either a deeply disturbed mobile phone freak or interested picking up the N900. I did what most sane people would do, went to the last page and read the conclusion. This one quote says it all:

I don’t remember being that excited with any mobile device since the first Nokia Communicators and UIQ 2 phones. Really!

For those who don’t know Michal, he has been writing My-Symbian since April 2001, and before that, in the late 90s, started N9k World, a site dedicated to Nokia’s Communicator range of devices. To say this man likes Nokia and Symbian devices a lot would be an understatement, so it’s telling that after he got his hands on a Nokia N900, and had some time to play with it, he jizzed in his pants like it was 1999. What do you think, are you going to pick up a Nokia N900?

    Most definitely I’m going to buy a Nokia Maemo device. However, I’m due to renew my mobile subscription in April 2010, so I’m not sure it’s going to be the N900 or the newer N9xx which will be released in Q1 2010!

  • Me

    I most certainly will. Err … not the “pants” part; the part about purchasing the N900.

    I can’t wait. It’s like T?t, Ramadan and Saint Swithuns Day … all rolled into one.

    Most definitely, and I am not embarressed to say that I spent over an hour reading his mammoth review of the Nokia N900. (Ha Ha), and to think it was not the complete review, because there were parts missing due to hardware restraints on the phone.

    However, I am not pre-ordering the phone. I am going to wait a few months, then make an informal decision based on the general populous because everyone has different needs and most times they are a lot less that the usual phone geek.

    All you had to do was read the first lines of that preview to know that Michal Jerz is an s60 fan and owner of the nokia internet tablets. His opinion may be biased, but it’s still an opinion.

    Wow what a review did this man create! David you might be right about this preference towards Nokia Tablet phones this at least it tells us that his tablet phone is the best there is. I’m wondering if it is not too big to carry around easy. This phone seems to be leaning towards the netbooks.

    @Jet
    If you look at the dimensions it is actually not as tall as the G1 and a little wider than the G1. Only 2mm thicker.
