Paid apps for Pre coming today?

Late yesterday, PreCentral published a story saying that the Palm Pre users will be blessed with paid apps today. We still haven’t heard anything official from Palm, so you’ll have to check that out for yourself later in the day.

We did hear that all your downloads will be tied to your Palm account, meaning re-downloads will be enabled from the day one, which is a good thing.

And that’s about all we had to share at the moment. Keep checking the App Catalog throughout the day and don’t hesitate to drop us a line in comments form if you notice something new. :)

I am waiting patiently for these paid apps, and I’m hoping they are better than the few apps offered now. All of which seem pretty simple, and lack in a few major areas. I’m also hoping they allow for more third party apps, including visual voicemail, a feature I miss from my switch from the iPhone.
