HTC has historically been a manufacture of smartphones. They were exclusively producing Windows Mobile devices until last year when they launched the first Android powered handset, and since then have released subsequent models. The problems that all smartphones have however is that they don’t scale down in cost. The cheapest smartphones are still too costly for people in emerging economies. Here is where the Touch.B comes in. Originally we thought it would run Android, but as it turns out, it uses Qualcomm’s new BREW MP operating system. Given that this device is made by HTC, you bet they redesigned the UI themselves and what they’ve done is nothing short of beautiful.

According to rumours it’s supposed to come out in early 2010, but we have no idea how much it will cost. As for features: 2 megapixel camera and 3G are in, WiFi is out.
