Motorola to acquire DRM software maker SecureM

Motorola has agreed to acquire DRM software maker SecureM, which software is approved by movie studios and TV broadcasters. Transaction is expected to close by the end of March and no terms of the agreement have been disclosed.

We do, however, know SecureM will become part of Moto’s Home & Networks Mobility business, helping secure the distribution of entertainment content over multiple platforms and devices — including set-top boxes, mobile phones, computers and portable media players…
