
I’m not sure whether we should believe the image above, but apparently it’s the successor to Samsung’s first Android smartphone – I7500 Galaxy. From what we’ve heard, the Galaxy 2 will get a specs boost to include such things as 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 32GB of internal memory, whereas Android 2.1 will run the show. Rest of the specs remain pretty much unchanged — i.e. 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, GPS, compass, WiFi and so on.
In other words, it sounds like a solid competitor to Google’s Nexus One and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Luckily we’ll see this baby officially announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Stay tuned…
