One of the juicy tidbits that found its way into the latest Nexus One update was the synchronization of starred items in Google Maps between mobile and desktop. Happily, Google is offering this update to all Android users in Google Maps for Mobile 3.4. If you’ve used GMail at all, you’ll be familiar with the concept of starring – it’s basically a flag that lets you access items later quickly. In this Google Maps update, there are also personalized suggested results, often related to locations you’ve already looked up, but you’ll need to have the Web History feature turned on in your Google account to take advantage.
Windows Mobile and Symbian have already had this function for over a year now, so it’s high time Google’s own OS got the feature, but what about BlackBerry, huh? Android peeps can get the update now in the Market.
