IKIVO has released Enrich 4 UI framework/toolset for the mobile handset and consumer electronics market. According to the official release, it provides best-in-class performance through a combination of software- and hardware-accelerated rendering (including OpenVG and OpenGL ES), optimized for each specific device. I’m not sure how that exactly works, but hey, that’s why I’m going to the Mobile World Congress to see it in action. Last time I saw IKIVO’s stuff – it looked (and performed) great — that was during the last year’s MWC. I’m guessing they went forward to improve even further.

Anyway, IKIVO says that with Enrich 4, handset manufacturers and service providers will be able to drive increased revenue through strengthening their brand with customizes user interfaces.

The solution consists of an embedded/downloadable client middleware, a user interface authoring toolset and a user interface framework that comes with a range of reusable components, device APIs and visual user interface effects… Additional details are available from IKIVO’s website.
