Over the weekend I heard rumblings that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 was indeed coming to WirelessWave. Sure enough, as soon as I checked the WirelessWave site this morning, there it was. The BlackBerry 8520 available in both Black and Lavender. Pricing? Try $29.99 on a 3-year contract.

This is interesting stuff, because we’ve been waiting for the 8520 to arrive on Fido for some time now… with the device now available on WirelessWave, this is SOMETIMES a sign that the device will be up on Fido in short-order. Rogers has carried the 8520 for awhile, and it could be time for big red to bump it on over to their discount carrier (the Pearl 8100 is feeling all alone!). We’ll see… In fact, we could know more by the end of the day today.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 features a 2MP camera (with 5x digital zoom), trackpad navigation, 256MB flash memory, microSD expansion to 16GB, video camera capabilities, WiFi, speakerphone, Bluetooth (A2DP), 3.5mm headset jack and much more.

Stay tuned for more…

UPDATE: Woop, there it is on Fido. Only they’re asking $50 on contract, for some reason.
