Fido Samsung GravityLooks like Fido is now advertising the Samsung Gravity as ‘coming soon’. From all accounts I’ve read so far it looks like ‘coming soon’ (when translated) means March 16th. The details? Well, you’re going to be looking at a measly $25 on a 2-year contract. Keep in mind, official launch dates and pricing have not been announced yet, so anything could change. Although, Fido is running the $25/2-year in advertisements, so look for that pricing to remain rock-solid. I’m interested to see what the off-contract pricetag looks like.

The move to Fido would make sense for Rogers, as they originally launched the Gravity on their main network just over a year ago. Often times, big daddy ‘Rogers’ will pass select devices down to his dog ‘Fido’ to make an end-of-life run at a discounted price.

The Samsung Gravity features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.3MP camera with video, Bluetooth, built-in MP3 player and more. It’s not going to knock your socks off with features, but if you need a solid messaging device for a cheap price, the slide-out QWERTY could be just the ticket.

Stay tuned for more, it’s coming.

I got one of these on Monday March 15th, Off contract is $150. So not to bed when you use fido $$ as well. So far I am very happy with the phone, besides one thing. It dosent seem that you can set the phone to Save to Memory card for downloads, videos, pictures, and voice memos. This severely limits the use if you take a lot of pics and voice memos.
