
This week Verizon Wireless is showcasing webOS games. As far as I’ve understood from their press release, some of the titles mentioned won’t work on the Pixi Plus, hence they only talk about the Pre Plus and its gaming capabilities.
In total, the Big Red is suggesting 18 titles: Asphalt 5, Brain Challenge, Glyder 2, Let’s Golf, Assassin’s Creed – Altair’s Chronicles, Brothers In Arms: Hour of Heroes, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle, Hero of Sparta, Dungeon Hunter, Monopoly, Need for Speed Undercover, SCRABBLE, Sudoku, Tetris, The Oregon Trail, The Sims 3, Apollo and X-Plane.
And I bet that’s only the beginning. If you remember, we talked about webOS’ capability to work with the Unreal 3 engine. Likewise, we had a separate hands-on post on 3D gaming on Palm’s platform.
Finally, Verizon is not the only carrier that pushes the Pre as a gaming device. In UK, Pre is bundled with three EA Mobile titles – The Sims 3, Monopoly, and Need for Speed Undercover…
