We’ve covered Shorthand Mobile before but we thought it would be better to just show you how the SMS service works.

The service utilizes SMS to bring app-like features to feature phones and entry-level devices. You can get sports scores from ESPN, restaurant details from Yelp, news from The Wall Street Journal and more content on your phone without a data plan. You’ll also be able to use it to interact with companies, as you can order a Subway sandwich through SMS. While I don’t know how many of our smartphone-loving readers will utilize this service, it has the potential to be huge in emerging markets like India and China.
