Netflix may soon come to Android

As an Android user, I’ve been a little jealous that the iPad (and soon the iPhone) get the excellent movie-streaming service. But a recent job opening suggests it won’t be too long before you’re watching movies on your favorite little green robot.

The job posting is looking for an “Android Video Playback Expert,” and the movie-renting company wants an engineer to “help us build Instant Streaming client implementations on Android devices.” Well, I guess you can’t be more clear than that. There’s no word on how long this will take to happen, or what type of media will be used (remember, Android will soon have full Flash 10.1). Either way, this is good news and we’ll keep our eyes on this one.
