If you’re looking for something a little grittier than Plants versus Zombies, Lost Zombies is a social network attempting to crowdsource a documentary on a fictional zombie apocalypse, and to showcase some of the content they’ve gathered so far, they’ve created an iPhone app. The bulk of it is a collection of thumbnailed pictures, along with a bit of audio explaining the back story that everyone is working around. I’m not sure what that “Submit Your Proof” link entails, but I think there’s a lot of potential for picture and video submissions, especially during Halowe’en or Zombie Walks.
The app itself isn’t what you’d call technologically mind-blowing, but the content sounds absolutely awesome. I’m a sucker for games like Left 4 Dead and comics like Walking Dead, and though it’s a little fan fiction-y, the idea of writing zombie apocalypse stories and having them published has me tickled infected. To learn more about the project, hit up Lost Zombies, or get the app at the link below. Proceeds go towards the movie.
