With the Mother’s Day around the corner, Verizon Wireless has issued a press release showcasing apps for moms. Here’s what they got:
- Flowers: Flowerful – $1 virtual bouquet maker (Android), Orchids – free app for webOS devices.
- Pamper Her: OpenTable for on-the-go restaurant reservations, Beauty Care Services app for finding local salons and spas to help mom refresh.
- Make Mom Breakfast: Essential Cooking Calculators – $3.99 (webOS), Cook’s Cheat Sheet – $1 (Android).
- Write A Song: Pitch Pipe ($1), Guitarist’s Reference Pro & Guitar Tuner ($2.99) and AccuRadio (free) for webOS devices; Pandora Radio or Slacker Radio (both free) for Android smartphones.
- Simple Things To Make Mom Smile: Make mom a unique ringtone with MyToneStudio ($3.99 monthly subscription), a picture of the family which can become mom’s phone background with Wallpaper Maker ($2.99 monthly subscription), or send mom the perfect message with I Love You Mom Wallpaper for $1.99. These offerings can be found in the Media Center/Get It Now on Verizon’s 3G multimedia phones.
Finally, Verizon also recommends donating an old phone to HopeLine, where proceeds generated are used to provide mobile phones to survivors of domestic violence or cash grants to local shelters and NGOs that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness efforts…
