Foursquare for webOS Updated with Push Notifications

Foursquare on the Palm Pre and Pixi has been updated with a few bug fixes and push notifications for friend check-ins.  A few minor aesthetic tweaks were also made, like changing nearby specials from in-line with the venue title to a bigger splash button in the top-right, and a magnifying glass next to the search field. The ability to flag mislocated or duplicate venues is a pretty nice addition, and you can also now filter houses to the bottom of your nearby venue list, which is nice. I always found it tacky that people would list their own place as somewhere on Foursquare, but them’s the breaks with user-generated content.

Never heard of Foursquare? It’s a location-based social network that allows you to check in to (and create) particular locations, like stores and restaurants, so friends know where you are.
