TD Mobile Banking App for BlackBerryThe good folks at TD Bank Financial just released a new mobile banking app (went live in App World June 1st), and if you have any type of account at Toronto Dominion, it’s worth a look. Named ‘TD’ (brilliant!), the app allows you to access your banking, investing and insurance services with TD from your BlackBerry.

The app is broken down into three main areas, the first being TD Canada Trust, for banking. Enter this area of the app to access your savings and chequing accounts, look up investment information, transfer money, pay bills and more.

Second is the TD Waterhouse section. Think of this as your investments homepage while on-the-go. You can use this to get a quote, ask questions, or even place a trade. Best of all, if you ever have any questions or simply need to talk with someone, a quick one-touch calling option is built in to connect you with the TD Waterhouse Investor Service Centre.

Finally, the TD Insurance area of the app puts your insurance information at your fingertips. If you’re ever in an accident, simply pop this open to grab your insurance information via the very handy ‘accident toolkit’. Think of this option as a ‘peace of mind’ feature… Hopefully you never need it, but if you do, it’s there waiting!

TD for BlackBerry supports all current-gen devices, but is supported in Canada only.

One more thing: Before I forget… this one can also be used to find the nearest Canada Trust branch or banking machine near you. TD Waterhouse Investor Centers in Canada and TD Bank stores and ATMs in the US can also be located. Simply pop it open, and let the app together with your GPS do the work. Very handy, very cool, and very free!

it’s too obvious that you work for TD and have never used its app. It’s not that great.
