By now, most of you iPhone fans out there are probably champing at the bit for your chance to preorder your iPhone 4 from either AT&T or Apple (or a third party retailer, depending on whether or not they’re really taking pre-orders) – we’re right there with you. Well, there’s a fresh new rumor that has Apple getting ready to push out a new iPhone app to the AppStore that will allow you to put in your iPhone 4 preorder with just a few taps of your finger on your existing iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

The new app is said to allow Apple customers to find their nearest Apple store, create and manage their Genius Bar appointments, see what kinds of instructional classes are offered at their local Apple store, and even “purchase and reserve products including reservations for the new iPhone.”

That last bit about reserving products like the new iPhone is what catches our attention. Sure, you could preorder your iPhone 4 by pointing your iPhone’s Safari browser to Apple’s online preorder page, but where’s the fun in that?

If true, we could see Apple pushing out the app tomorrow on the AppStore. We had previously heard rumblings of Apple working on some sort of Concierge app, and this new app could simply be referring to the fruit of that previous rumor.

Whatever happens, you should definitely help yourself kill some time by checking out our iPhone 4 hands-on impressions here, and our hands-on video after the break!

[Update]
The preorder page has gone live!
