Garminfone Apparently Worthy of its Own Commercial

The T-Mobile Garminfone is cool and all, it’s a pretty nifty Android device and a great GPS device, but I’m a little surprised to see that it got its own commercial spot. Of course, there are plenty of folks out there who do a lot of traveling, or just plain get lost almost everywhere they go, and having GPS features on a phone is pretty important to them. So, it makes sense that T-Mobile would advertise a phone that can almost be considered a GPS device that happens to make phone calls and just a bit more (it is running Android, after all).

If you want to see just how amazing and life-changing the Garminfone is and how it helps people get to where they want to go, see the video below. But if you’re one of those old-fashioned die-hards who prefer maps over a computerized voice telling you where to go when you know there is a quicker, better way to your destination, mad props to you.

I love my new GARMINFONE , have had it since June 11th.This is also my first touch screen and new to android operating system and it rocks!!! I have however returned phone twice now ,due to voice navigation going on the blink, it just quits working (the voice for navigation that is, not navigation itself) So I get no voice during navigation or during voice previews. I can take the battery out or reset phone completely and voice works for a day or so and then just stops working. Just as with buying a car in its first year as a completely new model (I purchased the 2004 mazda rx-8 !st model year) and full on expected some issues but boy was it worth it ,what a great sports car, sorry getting sidetracked anyway love the phone and will stick with it , just wondering if anyone else is having same issues so they hopefuly come up with a timely solution.

My phone just stopped having audio with the navigation. I will take the battery out like you said and return it as well if it happens again.

Have had the same issue with the navigation voice coming on and off. Took it back, but of course it worked in the store. Thanks for the tip about the battery. Shouldn’t have to do that though. I do notice that it seems to only happen when the “driving/pedistrian” screen does not come on …. when I get that screen to select from I get the voice.
