Although Acer has been blasting through Android handsets at a good clip lately, they haven’t forgotten their first handset using Google’s mobile operating system. The Acer Liquid A1 has a 768 MHz processor, 800 x 480 display, 5 megapixel camera with ISO setting and auto-focus, and custom home screen multimedia apps.

The biggest thing its successor, the Liquid E, boasted over the A1 was Android 2.1, and now that slight advantage seems to be lost. Eclair has a few nice features, like a combined inbox, Exchange support, and quick contact management. To get the update, hit up Acer’s Driver Download section, and browse through until you get to the Liquid and chose Android 2.1 from the drop-down menu.
