Selecting a perfect task management app for the Apple iPad just got harder. My personal favorite is still Pocket Informant HD, but I’m sure OmniFocus also has what it takes to take the crown.
OmniFocus for iPad promises to deliver the “in-depth task management functionality of a desktop app” on your beloved tablet computer. There are flexible viewing options, location-aware tasks, image attachments and voice notes, as well as the ability to sync everything with OmniFocus running on your Mac.
Here are some of its key features:
- Quick Entry – for fast task capture
- Task inbox – where items can be stored for future processing
- Ability to organize tasks into projects and folders, with as much hierarchy as is needed
- Categorize and view tasks by contexts or work modes
- Subtasks, for breaking large tasks into manageable chunks
- Built-in search for locating any task in the database
- Forecasts – which shows a weekly or daily view of all due tasks
- Built-in reviewing that helps you stay current on all your projects
In a nutshell – OmniFocus is a great way to keep your tasks under control with your iPad. The problem is in the price – $39.99 is kinda too expensive for an iPad app. Then again if you’re confident OmniFocus will help you be more organized (thus more productive), that’s like nothing…
