We knew it was coming… so If you’ve been waiting for the HTC Desire to hit Canadian shores, wait no longer! The HTC Desire is now available on TELUS, and the pricing comes in at the following price points:

  • 3-year contract: $79.99
  • 2-year contract: $349.99
  • 1-year contract: $399.99
  • off-contract: $449.99

Fairly standard pricing, and honestly, this is sort of what I expected. No surprises here. If you’re interested in picking one up, YES, the device does run Android… Android 2.1 in fact. Other key features include a 3.7″ WVGA 800 x 400 LCD display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, expandable memory to 16 GB via microSD, Bluetooth, WiFi, Speakerphone, and a whole lot of other goodies that you’ll find within Android 2.1. When you unwrap the Desire you’ll find the standard AC charger, USB cable, a headset and 8 GB memory card. The rechargeable battery included boasts talk time of up to 6.5 hours, and standby of 15 days.
