LimoRes rent-a-car iPhone app updated with improved UI, location awareness

Although we haven’t covered LimoRes iPhone app when it was initially released, is has been recently updated and now we decided to give it some space on IntoMobile.

Version 1.2 keeps the core functionality, allowing users to book sedans, SUV’s, hybrids, vans or stretch limousines in over 5,000 cities and airports around the world. There are two major improvements in this release:

  • Real-time GPS tracking that allows customers to see vehicles closest to their current location. Although this feature is currently only available in the New York City, we hope it will be rolled out in other places in the near future as well.
  • A more intuitive interface that enables users to save their favorite locations and make it even easier to select pickup and drop off addresses for the car service.

Finally, New Yorkers have an additional benefit as they can pick cars with free WiFi and power. Again, it’s one of those features geeks like us would like to see available for many other cities.

And to celebrate the new app launch, LimoRes is giving everyone 50% off on their first ride. Love it! :)
