ConnectWise Mobile now available for Android, too

After the iPhone and Windows Mobile, ConnectWise is bringing its mobile app to the Android platform (though the image above is from Windows Mobile version), allowing IT service providers with smartphones running Google’s mobile OS to “do their thing” while on the go. By “their thing,” ConnectWise includes timesheets, work schedules, contacts, service tickets and configurations.

Here are some of the benefits of ConnectWise Mobile (from the press release):

  • Automated collection of billable time and schedule management
  • Improved customer response times and customer sign-off
  • Quicker deployment of IT troops by their managers, as detailed service tickets can be created in the field anytime, anywhere
  • Improved SLA compliance by maintaining immediate access to essential information at all times
  • Enhanced communication between dispatchers, technicians and service managers

Finally, ConnectWise argues that the dedicated mobile app is a much better solution than a web-based interface, as it can be used even when offline (out of network) only to sync changes back to the server when you’re back in a coverage area.
