Rubik's Cube for BlackBerry

Growing up in the eighties as I did, I’m no stranger to the puzzling frustration of the Rubik’s Cube. In my family, we had not only the traditional 3x3x3 cube, but as I got older, I seem to recall other models of different shapes and sizes, strewn about the house… and I was terrible at all of them. Oddly enough, as I take a quick look to the left in my office, there’s a Rubik’s Cube staring me right in the face… and I’m still terrible at it.

If the Rubik’s Cube is nostalgia for you, or if you’re always on the look out for a solid puzzler to occupy your time, it looks like Bplay has come to the table with a bit of awesomeness. Rubik’s Cube for BlackBerry is now available! Priced at $6.99 (a standard price point for Bplay), the app brings the best selling toy of all time to your BlackBerry. If you’re just starting out (or stink at it, like me), there’s a 2x2x2 cube option. In fact, not only is the traditional 3x3x3 cube built-in, but you’ll find a 4x4x4, and 5x5x5 cube inside as well. Very cool, because as you get better, there’s a bigger and badder puzzle to challenge your wits.

Thankfully, if you’re having nothing but troubles solving the puzzle, there’s a built in solution guide to push you along towards the answer. There’s also a global leaderboard, something I’m sure I’ll never have the opportunity to grace. Oh well.

Rubik’s Cube for BlackBerry is available for most current-gen BlackBerry devices, and some older ones. Sadly, the last I checked there was no Torch compatibility, but hit up the download link or check out the screenshots below to learn more. Have fun!
