Virgin Mobile users, rejoice. The Samsung Intercept will soon hit the pre-paid carrier, its first Android device, and will hopefully be the first of more decent handsets for the MVNO. Unfortunately, there is no release date or pricing just yet, but we do know it’s coming soon since Virgin Mobile just announced it on its Facebook page.

Sir Branson’s brand says:

The question of an Android coming to Virgin Mobile has been a hot topic lately here on Facebook. Well, we’re happy to confirm that our next handset launch will be the Samsung Intercept. Check out the photo below, get excited, & stay tuned over the next few weeks for more information!

That slide-out QWERTY keyboard with Android goodness will soon be yours if you fancy a life with no contracts, you free spirit, you.
