A 3G-enabled BlackBerry just hit Boost Mobile in the form of the Curve 8530. Yay for prepaid customers! It couldn’t come soon enough after MetroPCS picked up this smartphone. With Boost, you have all the freedom that you don’t get with contracts, and you’re basically in charge of how much you want to use and pay for. There is also that unlimited plan for just $50, which basically gets you everything you could want with few limitations.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 has been around for a while, but now you can nab it without a contract for $249.99. And with that unlimited plan, you can e-mail, tweet and BBM all day and night until your thumbs cramp up.

Excited? Here are some features you can look forward to if you’re unfamiliar with the RIM handset:

  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), full QWERTY keypad and optical trackpad navigation
  • Access to BlackBerry App World, featuring a broad and growing catalog of third-party mobile applications developed specifically for BlackBerry® smartphones
  • Media player with dedicated media keys smoothly integrated along the top of the handset, giving customers an easy, convenient way to control their music and videos
  • 3G high-speed data (where available)
  • Support for BlackBerry services with access to up to 10 supported e-mail accounts, including most popular ISP e-mail accounts such as Yahoo!®, Windows Live Hotmail®, AOL® and Gmail
  • Full HTML Web browsing
  • Digital camera with zoom and video recording
  • Expandable memory via hot swappable microSD™/SDHC memory card slot, supporting up to 32GB microSD/SDHC cards, a 2GB microSD™ card is included
  • Supports voice-activated dialing and Bluetooth® (version 2.1)
  • Multimedia, text and instant messaging
  • GPS with support for location-based applications, including geotagging pictures, voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and call forwarding

Try to stay seated and exercise a little patience as the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is going to hit Boost Mobile on October 14, just a little over a week from now. Breathe. Relax.
