Smith Micro Software unveils Locality, local search iPhone app

Smith Micro Software is joining the mobile local search market with its iPhone app – Locality. The application relies on the smartphone’s built-in GPS receiver to show users what’s happening around them. In that sense, Locality offers a wide breadth of local events, geotagged photos, gas stations, restaurants, cafes, hotels, towing, banks, airports, parks, bars, movie theaters, parking, groceries, shopping centers, hospitals, pharmacies, physicians, vets, taxis and casinos.

There are also advanced and customizable search options, ability to add places and events into favorites (for quick access at a later point), frequent live updates (for catching up with the latest events and deal alerts), one-click email service (for sharing information with friends), maps and more.

Finally, once you find something you like, there are turn-by-turn directions, contact information, as well as the ability to automatically dial the phone number, or add it to your contact list.

Locality is a free app and you can grab it from a link below…
