Another one of Microsoft’s many Windows Phone babies is the Samsung Focus, which packs a 4″ Super AMOLED display, 8 GB of internal storage, 1 GHz processor, and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. It sounds identical to the Omnia 7 that got accidentally leaked earlier this morning, but at least the outer casing looks a little different.

This is just one of the three Windows Phone 7 devices that AT&T will be bringing to the U.S market in time for the holiday season and it will be the one with the largest display. This is that same Super AMOLED display that can be found on the Galaxy S lineup and this is quite a gorgeous screen: colors are crisp and bright but it can be kind of a pain to use in direct sunlight.

In the United States, the Samsung Focus should also work with the just-announced AT&T U-verse app. We’ve seen this on the iPhone and it enables you to manage and control your DVR on the go. We also expect it to allow you to download your recorded videos to the device to watch them on the go, with or without Internet connectivity.

The Focus is definitely a strong contender this holiday season and it should also include all the things you’d expect from a top-shelf device including WiFi, GPS, assisted-GPS, and Bluetooth. You won’t be able to add additional storage though.

This should be hitting AT&T November 9 for about $199.99 with a new, two-year contract. Rogers will be picking up the Samsung Focus in Canada exclusively, but they haven’t mentioned timing or pricing just yet. Press release after the jump!
