Southwest Airlines jumps on Android bandwagon with its very own app

For the last 15 years, my favorite way to travel between Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Phoenix has been with Southwest Airlines. Service has generally been good, prices and deals were always great and I’ve never encountered any delay issues. Before I really start gushing and getting nostalgic, if you’re a fan of Southwest Airlines, you ought to know that the airline now has an Android app.

From within the Android app, you can book your flights, check in, reserve a car and even access your Rapid Rewards account. Being able to handle everything from your smartphone might ease the pain of everything else you have to deal with when traveling this holiday season. Best of all, it’s free from the Android market.

With so many travel apps, there’s almost no reason for you to miss a flight, get lost or track flight statuses. So go on and download the app and enjoy your travel.
